About The Author
Lilian Yew has over 30 years of nursing experience in both public and private healthcare organizations. With a degree and master’s in Health Sciences from SIM-The University of Sydney, she currently serves as the Chief Nurse at Raffles Hospital, providing strategic direction for all nursing disciplines.
Lilian has successfully led her team to achieve several prestigious hospital accreditations, including the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) reaccreditation with Distinction, as well as the Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) Premier Award and BFHI Re-accreditation in 2022. A lifelong learner, she recently graduated from the Master’s in Education Program in July 2023.
In addition to her hospital role, Lilian volunteers on the Board of the Singapore Nurses Association (SNA) and was elected Vice President in March 2023. She was recognized as one of the Top 10 finalists for the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award and won the “Chief Nurse of the Year” Gold Award at Hospital Management Asia in September 2023. Additionally, she joined the Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau as a Board Member, where she serves as Newsletter Editor, connecting with nursing peers across more than 100 countries.
