About The Author
Yojana Gharat is the founder and president of SMIT, dedicated to uplifting the needy and homeless for over 28 years. Inspired by the Missionaries of Charity orphanage, where she grew up, Yojana’s unwavering commitment to service led to the establishment of the SMIT Old Age Home and Care Foundation in Thane. Her impactful work has been honoured with the “Maharashtra Shakti Award” for my outstanding contribution to social work.
In addition to her work with the elderly, Yojana has significantly contributed to leprosy care and women’s empowerment. She is also a skilled counselor and an NLP practitioner, using her expertise to help individuals overcome challenges and improve their lives. Through her initiatives and compassionate approach, Yojana continues to inspire others and create lasting change in the lives of those she serves.
