About the Author
Monica Hornung Cattan is the Global Director of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement at QS Quacquarelli Symonds, where she leads global programmes in sustainability, innovation, skills, and the future of higher education. Originally from Chile, she holds a degree in International Relations and Economics, with further studies at the University of Bologna, SOAS University of London, INSEAD, and an MBA from Politecnico di Milano.
Her international career spans education, diplomacy, and sustainability, with a strong focus on public–private collaboration to drive systemic change across Asia and Europe. A committed advocate for women’s leadership, AI for good, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Monica has facilitated Google’s #IamRemarkable initiative and supported multi-stakeholder programmes with organisations including Global Initiatives’ Responsible Business Forum, the World Economic Forum’s Grow Asia, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), and Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
