About the Author
Based in Singapore, Sonia J Arora balances her dual passions as a film scriptwriter alongside a successful corporate career with global exposure. She seamlessly blends creativity with commerce, redefining philanthropy by aligning it with purpose.
Her screenplay, Misfits, has achieved global recognition, winning Best Script Award at the London Film Festival, an Honourable Mention at the Tokyo Screenplay Awards, and an Official Selection at the Hollywood Stage Script Competition. Her debut film as a writer, Love, Yours Truly, won over 12 international awards. Sonia co-authored My Voice Vol. 4 for the Singapore Children’s Society and was runner-up in Singapore’s Zee Talent Hunt.
An advocate for creativity, compassion, and women’s and children’s rights, Sonia received the Global Women of Influence Award 2024 and another Global Award in her organisation for work with a Singapore NGO. As Co-Founding Director of a Delhi-based NGO, she aspires to craft meaningful stories, spreading hope and joy globally.
