Women and Leadership is a powerful reminder that there is no limit to what women can accomplish when we have the chance. Women are powerful agents of change, and the far-reaching benefits of diversity and gender parity in leadership and decision-making are increasingly recognized in all spheres. Still, women continue to be vastly under-represented. Ever wondered why?
Thato Belang, a TEDx speaker from South Africa, who will talk about the social and cultural factors, corporate culture, stereotypes on gender roles and effects of patriarchal systems of power on women that can stand in the way of women in leadership. She tackled issue such as:
– Why women often shy away from boldly taking on leadership roles
– Why they lack the confidence to lead with courage and step into their power
– The need to focus on personal power and how to harness their strengths
This session created a space for us to feel confident abs empowered to pursue our vision. Help us in finding our voice as leaders. And how we can provide support to other women on their leadership journeys.
