Poonam Mehta is an esteemed Approved Kindergarten Manager with a robust background in early childhood education that spans over five decades. Her career began at the age of 18 in Mumbai, India, and has included roles as Deputy Principal in Hong Kong and Principal in Shanghai. Poonam holds a Master’s degree in Education and Counseling from the UK and is currently pursuing a PhD at the European International University in Paris. She is also a published author, having written “Joyful Journey on a Bumpy Road” along with several children’s books available on Amazon.

As the president of BE THE CHANGE, Hong Kong Ltd., Poonam is dedicated to supporting ethnic minorities and asylum seekers through education and counseling. Her work aims to leave a legacy of lifelong learning that positively impacts every child’s life. Poonam is regarded as a personable and committed educator, known for building rapport within the school community. A member of the Racial Harmony committee and the Rotary Club TST, she has received numerous accolades for her community service, including the Chief Executive’s Commendation from Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, John Lee. Poonam continues to conduct educational workshops globally, demonstrating her commitment to excellence and making the world a better place through her efforts.
