H.E. Ambassador Dr Michaela Froňková

Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Singapore

H.E. Ambassador Dr Michaela Froňková is a career diplomat who joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in 1998.                                                                                               

Prior to joining MZV (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic), Dr Froňková pursued her career as the Head of the Physiotherapy Unit at the University Hospital Na Bulovce in Prague followed by opening a private physiotherapy practice in Prague until 1998. 

In 1999 Dr Froňková accepted her first posting as a Second Secretary at the Czech Embassy in Helsinki, Finland, following four years in Paris as a First Secretary. Dr Froňková returned to Paris in 2008 as a Minister-Counsellor, where she seconded to the French Ministry of Foreign and Europe Affairs. Dr Froňková returned to MZV HQ for a year as an Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. In 2010, she spent two years in Ottawa as a Minister-Counsellor.

From 2012 until 2016, Dr Froňková served as the Ambassador to Morocco, following the Ambassador’s post in Lebanon until 2020. In September 2021, Dr Froňková was appointed as Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore. 

Dr Michaela Froňková graduated from the Charles University Prague with a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy and holds a PhD in Physiotherapy.
