H.E. Ambassador Francisca Kemi Omayuli

Ambassador of Nigeria to Singapore

H.E. Omayuli Francisca Kemi is the Ambassador of Nigeria to Singapore. Born in Nigeria on January 18, 1969, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in History, obtained in 1991, and a Master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria, which she completed in 1998. Fluent in English, she entered the Nigerian Foreign Service in 2001.

 

Throughout her career, Ambassador Kemi has held various significant positions in Nigerian embassies around the world. From 2018 to 2021, she served in the Nigerian Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel. Prior to that, she worked in the Nigerian Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela, from 2012 to 2016. Her experience also includes serving in the Nigerian Embassy in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, in 2008-2009, and in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 2006 to 2008.

 

In addition to her overseas assignments, she served as Deputy Director and Head of the Crisis Monitoring and Public Communications Division, as well as the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from November 2021 to May 2024. A generalist by training, she has contributed to various departments and divisions within the Ministry, including the Legal and Treaties Division, East and Central African Division, America and Caribbean Affairs Division, the Office of the Under-Secretary for Regions and International Organizations (US-RIO), and the European Affairs Division.

 

In 2024, she was appointed as Chargé d’Affaires en titre of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Singapore.
