Jen Flowers

Head of Asia - Hyperlayer & Founder and Co-chair of TEDxTinHuaWomen

Jen Flower is a customer-focused executive with 25 years of experience driving strategy, advocacy, and engagement across global financial and professional institutions. She has a proven track record of shaping growth strategies, innovation, and transformative customer experiences, particularly within financial services and retail sectors. 

Over the past 15 years in Asia, Jen has led go-to-market strategies, business development initiatives, and digital innovation, ensuring financial institutions deliver customer-centric solutions that drive retention and loyalty. She began her career in sales and marketing in New York City, later spending several years in Shanghai before relocating to Hong Kong in 2016 as COO, where she launched the PwC Experience Centre following the acquisition of a digital agency. 

In 2019, she transitioned to HSBC Global Strategy & Operations, quickly becoming Asia Pacific team lead, managing a 45-person team and over 50 developers. By 2022, she expanded her scope, leading Customer Intelligence globally for Wealth & Personal Banking, where she developed data-driven strategies to enhance customer engagement across banking segments. She was also part of the Global HSBC CX Leadership team, integrating NPS, complaints, insights, and data to build winning customer propositions. 

Currently, Jen is building Asia operations for the award-winning fintech Hyperlayer, driving expansion, strategic execution, and market positioning within financial services and loyalty programs. 

Beyond her corporate career, Jen is a passionate advocate for gender balance, financial empowerment, and social impact. She was a founder of TEDxShanghaiWomen in 2011 and co-founder of TEDxTinhauWomen in Hong Kong, platforms dedicated to amplifying voices and fostering diverse perspectives. 

She serves on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce and has past board experience with the Affordable Art Fair, Asian University for Women, and Ladies Who Tech. As an active supporter of The Women’s Foundation, Jen dedicates time to initiatives that drive equity and inclusion (and occasionally does burpees for charity). 

 

Her leadership and advocacy have earned recognition, including the Spirit of Hong Kong award and being named a finalist in Tatler’s Front & Female and Women of Influence. 

 

Jen’s journey is defined by innovation, impact, and a relentless focus on customer excellence, making her a key force in shaping the future of financial services, fintech, and beyond.
