Katharina Reimer

Chief Executive Officer of the Karen Leung Foundation

Ms. Katharina Reimer is the Chief Executive Officer of the Karen Leung Foundation (“KLF”), a Hong Kong-based registered charity that works to save lives in Asia by raising awareness of gynecological cancers, educating women to increase rates of early detection and ensuring that women and their families have access to optimal medical care. Ms. Reimer leads all aspects of the Foundation’s strategy, development, fundraising, and operations. She is also a Founding member of the APAC HPV Coalition, a think tank that aims to advance the awareness, prevention, and treatment of HPV-related diseases.

 Katharina is a passionate advocate for social change and was instrumental in setting up and supporting several charities and philanthropic causes across Asia. She served as a strategic media advisor to several public sector organizations in the Middle East and Africa during the early stages of her career. Since arriving in Hong Kong in 2004, she has led and supported initiatives and charities that foster positive social change to advance female empowerment, such as 100 Women in Finance and the Asian University for Women HK Foundation, among others. 

Katharina holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of the West of England (Bristol, England) and a Master’s in Economics from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. She has lived in over 20 countries and is fluent in three languages. She currently lives with her husband and their two children in Hong Kong.
