Vannessa Misso-Veness is an English as a Second Language (ESL) learning specialist with over 20 years of teaching experience and is a Parent Mentor and Coach.
Unlike English tutoring, Vannessa works closely with the child and their parents on not just academic progress but mental wellness, too. As a parent mentor, she works with parents on parenting, personal growth and strategies for parent-child bonding and communication.
Regardless of whom she teaches, she believes in creating interactive and reflective sessions that will leave participants inspired, brimming with ideas and confidence.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the rich tapestry of personal experiences—pain, laughter, tears, and joy—as the foundation for powerful storytelling. Participants will be encouraged to draw from their own lives to craft authentic narratives that resonate with their emotions. Through guided exercises and thoughtful prompts, young writers will learn to transform their feelings into compelling story ideas that connect with readers.
